Investment Associate / Manager – Infrastructure & Energy Transition | London


A reputable private equity fund is expanding its London investment team. The fund deploys growth and buyout capital into core-plus and value-add assets across Europe, focusing on renewables, energy storage, power grids, and digital transition assets.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the end-to-end evaluation of investment opportunities, including asset-level underwriting, complex financial modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Structure transactions, manage external advisors, and coordinate technical, legal, environmental, and financial due diligence.
  • Draft comprehensive investment committee (IC) papers and present findings clearly to partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Support asset management initiatives across existing portfolio companies to drive operational efficiency and strategic growth.
  • Map market trends, identify proprietary deal flow, and build active relationships with industry developers, advisors, and intermediaries.


Candidate Profile


  • 3–7 years of experience gained exclusively within a Bulge Bracket or Elite Boutique investment bank (dedicated PUI/Energy Transition team) or an established infrastructure/energy private equity fund.
  • Proven track record of executing complex M&A, LBOs, or direct asset investments within the infrastructure, power, or utilities sectors.
  • Advanced LBO and cash flow modeling capabilities, with deep familiarity with project finance and regulatory asset structures.
  • Exceptional analytical writing and presentation skills, with a track record of authoring institutional-grade investment memoranda.
