We are seeking an exceptional individual for a pivotal executive mandate: to serve as the architect and driving force within our North American advisory practice.
As a Senior Manager - Advisory Services, North America, you will have the support and executive backing to shape the market, expand a world-class team, and establish AccountAbility as the undisputed leader in sustainability counsel in North America.
This role is designed for a commercial strategist and driven practice-builder with an entrepreneurial spirit. Your success will be defined by your ability to generate significant revenue, serve a portfolio of Fortune 500 clients, and become the trusted advisor to the C-suite on their most critical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Practice Development:
Assume sales leadership for the North American region, developing and executing commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant, profitable growth.
Act as a key business developer for the region, personally securing strategic projects, expanding key client relationships, and generating repeat business with a demonstrable track record of delivering and managing large sales programs.
Drive innovation in our service offerings to stay ahead of client needs, differentiate AccountAbility in the market, and address emerging trends in sustainability and ESG.
Actively engage with and participate in professional industry organizations, forums, and conferences to build the AccountAbility brand and generate new business leads.
Strategic Client Advisory:
Serve as the lead strategic advisor for top-tier clients, engaging directly with C-suite executives and Boards to understand and resolve their most complex business challenges.
Lead the development and delivery of high-value, tailored sustainability strategies that align with clients' core business objectives, drive value, and enhance their competitive positioning.
Provide expert counsel on the full spectrum of sustainability issues, from climate change and decarbonization to supply chain management, sustainable finance, and regulatory compliance.
Manage and deliver complex large scale, multi-dimensional engagements.
Team & Practice Leadership:
Build, grow, and manage a high-performance team of advisory professionals, serving as a leader and mentor to consultants.
Cultivate a culture of intellectual rigor, commercial drive, and unwavering excellence that becomes a beacon for top-tier talent.
Collaborate with global practice leaders to ensure seamless service delivery for multinational clients and contribute to the firm's global strategy.
The Ideal Candidate: Qualifications & Attributes
We seek a visionary leader with a distinguished career spanning 10-12 years in a consulting environment. The preferred candidate will demonstrate intellectual rigor and market relevance. You are a driven practice-builder and commercial strategist, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Proven Track Record in Business Development: You have a “business-centric” mindset with a demonstrable track record of building and scaling an advisory practice or business unit. You have a history of personally generating significant new business and expanding client accounts.
