ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.

The project consists of 90km of 500kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.

The Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Senior HR Advisor across to share their expertise within our growing Transmission Line, Energy Hubs and Substations Teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR and employee relations advice and management including but not limited to coaching managers on all HR matters and case manage employee relations matters with a focus on ensuring all documentation is legally compliant and best practice.
  • Support the General Manager and Senior Managers by providing advice on all employment relations matters and by facilitating redundancies, terminations, and demobilisations.
  • Support the development and implementation of employment programs including the Company's (and wider AGH) internship/professional placement program, ACCIONA Academy and graduate program.
  • Support tender submissions by completing schedules as they relate to HR, Industry Capability and Inclusion (ICI)/state development requirements and IR.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR and other business initiatives as required, diversity and local programs as they relate to social impact employment and other priority job seeker categories.
  • Help track staff movements within the business and any changes to terms and conditions of employment.
  • Support employees and consistently follow up Line Managers during this process, ensuring reviews occur in a timely manner and the review is documented.
  • Manage staff exit interviews and report on any lessons learnt.
  • Ongoing education of managers and staff on new and revised policies and procedures.
  • Provide support in implementing HR policies, procedures, and systems, and participate in the continuous improvement of such.

Criteria for Selection

  • Preferable 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, to deliver contemporary HR practices (must have experience in a medium to large sized business, with construction engineering experience highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. EEO) and current best practice HR practices.
  • Experience working in a Tier 1 Contractor, Project Delivery environment
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
  • HR, BP and IR experience
