Candidates not based in the Central West Orana region will be on a 14/7 Bus in Bus out roster and stay in our 1200 bed camp in Merotherie NSW.

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to share their expertise within our growing construction team. The Geotechnical Engineer will support the Engineering Department in providing scheduling, quality assurance and project management support on all Geotechnical related matters the transmission line team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Geotechnical Manager in managing the delivery of works of all Geotechnical activities
- Support and supervise the Construction Department and Subcontractors in ensuring work carried out, is compliant with regulatory and Deed requirements
- Assist in identifying any potential design issues and provide possible contingency solutions
- Assist in the review of design modifications and provide technical advice
- Assist the Geotechnical and Design Manager in providing required data for periodic internal and client reports
- Support the Project's requirements in delivering a project against safety, quality, regulatory, legislative, environmental, safety and cost requirements
- Track and document the approval process to ensure timely submissions and responses
- Support the delivery of foundations, retaining structures, and other geotechnical elements for transmission towers and related infrastructure.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Work closely with civil, structural, and electrical engineers to integrate geotechnical solutions into the overall construction delivery
- Participate in project meetings and provide geotechnical insights and recommendations
- Assist in managing timelines, budgets, and resources related to geotechnical aspects of the project
Criteria for Selection
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications BS in Geology or Engineering Geology
- 3+ years' experience in Transmission Line infrastructure projects or similar large construction projects
- Experience in tier 1 contractor experience
- Understanding of Construction techniques, methodologies
- Able to manage effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, ideally with specific experience working with design and construct projects
- Well-developed time management, organisational, communication and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups
- Ability to work with limited supervision and multitask effectively to meet deadlines
