The Opportunity
We're expanding our Western Australian operations and strengthening our sustainability capability across current and upcoming major infrastructure projects. We're seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead sustainability initiatives for some of WA's most significant infrastructure works. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure sustainability objectives are achieved and exceeded, providing strategic oversight and practical guidance across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion best practice sustainability outcomes across the project.
  • Ensure alignment with client sustainability targets and ACCIONA's SMP2025 values.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability strategies and initiatives.
  • Promote sustainability awareness across project teams, ensuring staff understand and implement relevant requirements.
  • Identify and secure necessary resources (personnel, systems, tools, consultants) to deliver sustainability objectives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to track progress against sustainability goals and resolve any non-conformances.
  • Facilitate internal and external sustainability audits and reporting to support continuous improvement.
  • Support Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) ratings and reporting requirements, where applicable.
  • Provide advice and guidance to project leadership on sustainability risks and opportunities.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in sustainability roles within construction or infrastructure projects, ideally as a Senior Advisor or Manager
  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, certifications, and reporting (e.g., ISC, ISO 14001, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver complex sustainability programs
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with infrastructure or large-scale construction projects is highly regarded
