About the Project
HumeLink East involves expanding the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation and designing and constructing 230 km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This line will connect the Bannaby substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West, strengthening Australia's energy network and supporting the transition to renewable energy.

About the Opportunity
Reporting into the Landowner & Community Manager, this role is responsible for building strong relationships with local communities, stakeholders, landowners, and councils along the HumeLink East transmission line alignment. You will play a key role in representing the project at the local level and ensuring our engagement is consistent, transparent, and responsive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead local engagement activities across towns and communities in the HumeLink East alignment.
  • Serve as the primary contact for community members, landowners, councils, and stakeholder groups.
  • Manage community feedback, issues, and enquiries, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Support the delivery of communication materials, events, workshops, and on-the-ground engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and the broader engagement function.
  • Identify community risks and opportunities and provide advice to project leadership.
  • Maintain accurate engagement records and support compliance with regulatory obligations.








About You

  • Experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, or place management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Understanding of regional communities
  • Ability to manage complex issues with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgement
  • Experience within infrastructure, utilities, or government sectors is highly desirable
  • A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused working style
