Role Description The Safety, Health and Environment and Audit Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Calgary, AB, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the coordinator supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety, health, and environmental programs aligned with regulatory requirements and company standards. Typical responsibilities include coordinating risk assessments, assisting with HSE-related documentation, tracking compliance metrics, and supporting internal and external audits. The coordinator helps prepare audit plans, conducts field and office audits, documents findings, and follows up on corrective and preventive actions. This role also collaborates with cross-functional teams, contributes to training initiatives, and supports continuous improvement activities related to safety, sustainability, and quality systems.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support risk assessments and root cause analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Science or a related discipline
- Any HSE/Safety, Auditor, Lean/Continuous Improvement certification or relevant professional training will be considered an added advantage, but is not mandatory
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Fresh graduates with relevant education, good communication skills and strong potential may also be considered
- Good documentation, reporting, coordination and MS Office skill
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work collaboratively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, documentation, and audit findings.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a hybrid work setting.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and basic data analysis software; experience with audit or compliance management tools is an asset.
