DIRECTOR OF ESTIMATING – ELECTRICAL / RENEWABLE EPC

(Utility, Substation & Renewable EPC Focus)

Location: Norfolk County, MA (Relocation Assistance Available)

Pay:$140,000 – $160,000 Base + Discretionary Bonus

A national electrical EPC contractor is seeking a Director of Estimating to lead and scale its estimating and preconstruction organization supporting utility-scale renewable energy, substation, and underground electrical infrastructure projects across the U.S.

This is a hands-on senior leadership role responsible for estimating strategy, execution, bid positioning, client engagement, and team development. You will oversee estimating operations for projects ranging from $5MM–$50MM+, with a strong emphasis on Solar, BESS, and Substation work

** If you have not owned bid strategy, led teams, or worked in utility-scale electrical construction, this role is not a fit.**

MUST-HAVES

• 10+ years estimating / preconstruction
• 5+ years leading estimating teams
• Electrical utility EPC projects $5MM–$50MM+
• Renewable (Solar/BESS) & Substation experience
• Proven Estimating Department leadership

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Lead and scale the Estimating Department (people, process, systems)
• Drive winning bid strategies aligned with growth goals
• Oversee estimates, constructability, risk, and value engineering
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and BD
• Lead proposals, client presentations, and bid handoffs
• Mentor and develop high-performing estimators

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

• Electrical utility & renewable EPC construction
• Solar, BESS, and Substation estimating
• Primavera, Bluebeam, MC2 / ICE (or equivalent)
