Solar Technician III - relocation assistance available to Desert Center, CA. The Solar Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing solar PV systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Desert Center and Daggett facilities. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on solar PV equipment. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation/control (I&C) systems. Execute switching and clearance orders in coordination with the Operations Center. Support environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance. Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and required training (e.g., LOTO, JHA). Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel as required to support site operations. Qualifications Level I: High school diploma or GED (or willingness to obtain within 6 months); mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge; valid driver's license; ability to work overtime and non‐standard hours. Level II: 1+ years of experience in power plant or PV solar O&M; strong electrical/mechanical skills; ability to work independently or in teams. Level III: 4+ years of PV solar experience (or equivalent I&E/I&C experience); journeyman-level electrical or mechanical knowledge; experience with control systems, troubleshooting, and safe operating procedures.
