Mechanic / Telebelt Operator – Wind Energy (Full-Time)

Position Summary
We are hiring a full-time Mechanic / Telebelt Operator to support wind turbine construction projects. This role is ideal for a recent trade school graduate looking to start a career in the wind energy industry. The position includes equipment maintenance and telebelt operation at wind farm job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on telebelt systems, trucks, and support equipment

• Safely set up, operate, and tear down telebelt conveyor systems

• Assist with diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues

• Work with site crews to ensure safe and efficient material placement

• Follow all OSHA, company, and wind site safety procedures

Qualifications

• Trade school certificate in mechanics, diesel, heavy equipment, or related field

• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Strong safety mindset and dependable work ethic

Preferred (Not Required)

• CDL or willingness to obtain one

• Experience with heavy equipment or construction environments

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time, with overtime as needed

• Competitive pay based on experience and education

• Per diem paid when traveling or working on the road

• Training provided for telebelt operation and wind industry safety

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on uneven terrain
