Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electronic systems for next-generation mobility platforms. This individual will play a key role in driving technical execution from concept through production, ensuring innovative, efficient, and reliable power conversion solutions.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead and decision owner for power conversion PCBA projects across the full product lifecycle, from design and prototyping to validation and production scaling.
Develop highly integrated, cost-efficient power systems in the 48 – 100V range, supporting peak power levels between 1 – 10kW.
Define project schedules, manage testing resources, and coordinate with manufacturing partners on end-of-line activities.
Collaborate with systems engineering to establish and refine product requirements, balancing performance, safety, and cost targets.
Oversee validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electronic systems.
Qualifications
Experience & Expertise
5–10 years of hands-on experience in power electronics design, with prior leadership or ownership of major deliverables.
Proven background in inverter, traction inverter, or motor controller design.
Familiarity with actuators (BLDC) and position sensing technologies.
Proficiency working with modern power switches, including MOSFETs, GaN, and SiC devices.
Comfortable using high-voltage laboratory equipment (up to 1kV).
Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits, including microcontrollers and their peripherals.
Track record of delivering commercial hardware products to market.
Education
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) with a focus on power electronics or power systems.
Technical Skills
Expertise in industry-standard simulation and modeling tools such as LTspice, PLECS, and MATLAB.
Soft Skills
Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
Adaptability to take on diverse challenges across multiple system components.
