Senior Consultant, Consulting, Implementation (Remote)

2050 Partners, now part of West Monroe, is seeking a mission-driven Senior Consultant to join our team in a fully remote role. In this role, you will directly contribute to the execution and management of decarbonization consulting projects that advance the development of future greenhouse gas-reducing building codes and appliance standards. and enthusiastic about developing data-driven solutions in a collaborative and dynamic consulting environment. Depending on experience, initial assignments may include the following project areas: Codes and standards advocacy work, including federal and state appliance standards and test procedures, national model building codes, and industry standards Technical and project support for our role as technology and codes and standards experts in the California Market Transformation Administrator (MTA) program State building codes advancement and advocacy in multiple states Advocacy and strategic policy design for local, state, and national building performance standards Be a trusted advisor for our clients by providing pragmatic advice based on defensible data and analysis Manage and contribute to multiple projects including technical research and analysis, client engagement, subcontractor management, and external stakeholder engagement including: Scoping and launching new projects Supporting primary and secondary research Procuring test equipment and arranging laboratory tests Supporting laboratory and field investigations Fostering coalition-building Supporting legal, regulatory, and policy reviews Develop and maintain budget forecasts and project schedules across multiple projects Ensure high-quality deliverables, including spreadsheets with supporting calculations, memos, reports, and presentations Bachelors degree in engineering or technical field; bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred; 8+ years of relevant work experience ~ Comfort contributing to complex projects with a problem-solving orientation that prioritizes client needs ~ Ability to distill complex technical findings into accessible summaries, tailor content to diverse stakeholders, and maintain consistency and rigor across multi-section documents with multiple contributors ~ Project management track record; Willingness for periodic travel ~ Desire and ability to work remotely National, state, and local building energy code development or implementation (e.g., International Energy Conservation Code) Experience related to building performance standards Research, development, or implementation of codes and standards for electric vehicle charging infrastructure or transportation electrification Research, testing, or standards development for water heating Research, testing, or standards development for motors and drives Experience with industrial process loads or industrial product energy efficiency measures 2050 Partners has long helped clients accelerate the transition to a low-carbon futureadvancing energy efficiency, electrification, clean transportation, and decarbonization policy.
