Market analysis, business plans, customer contact and economic modeling - for the green transition

Do you have strong business understanding and a talent for working with numbers? Can you translate strategy into budgets, economic models and business plans? Then this could be the right job for you.

1st Mile assists customers in finding financing for innovative technology projects, primarily within the green transition.

You will work closely with customers — from small greentech start-ups to large corporations.

You will gain deep insight into customers’ business ideas. Your tasks will include analysing and preparing budget models, business plans and financial models based on their strategies, investment plans, market conditions, organisations and other relevant factors.

In addition, you will ensure that your work is properly aligned with your colleagues’ contributions to the applications, and you will write the necessary text for your analyses, budgets, financial models and business plans.

You will also work on the application budget itself and ensure a clear overview of the rules and guidelines that customers and project partners must follow. Project partners may include other companies and universities.

As part of the job, you will manage selected projects, plan and delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with all deadlines.

There may be peak periods leading up to application deadlines; however, all deadlines are known well in advance, and 1st Mile is skilled at planning to avoid excessive workloads.

During quieter times, there will be opportunities to take time off and to focus on optimizing 1st Mile's processes and methods. Additionally, remote work is possible when it aligns with the workflow.

1st Mile has the highest success rate in the industry, and you will help them to maintain that.

You come from a position where you analyse, prepare and develop budget models and/or business plans and/or financial models, and write the corresponding text, either in a private company, a public company or an organisation. Experience in writing applications for funding programmes, for example the EU Innovation Fund, is an advantage but not a requirement.

Also, experience in green energy or energy infrastructure is an advantage but not a requirement.

However, it is a requirement that your written English is at an almost native level. Communication at the office and in dialogue with customers and partners is in English.

You work independently, in a structured way and with strong attention to detail, while staying focused on meeting tight deadlines. You keep track of several parallel and complex processes with many participants, and you ensure that all processes run as planned, whether you are responsible for them or not.

1st Mile offers an exciting and versatile job in an international environment, where you will gain insight into both innovation processes and the latest and most innovative technologies. You will be part of a dedicated and highly academic team with strong technical and business competencies.
